Where the inspiration for Angostura Tamboo lies is in fact in encapsulating the spirit of Carnival from the island of Trinidad & Tobago. Tamboo is named after the handmade bamboo instruments that created the soundtrack of Carnival long before the Steelpan/drums were invented. These homemade instruments drove the beat of the world’s greatest party.
Angostura Tamboo is an exciting new member of the family for the ever-growing spiced rum fan-base around the world. As it represents part of Trinidad & Tobago culture, it made sense to share this expression with the world.
