The Expressions
Black Tears is bright and clear, smouldering with cool golden intensity. It has a gentle and mysterious sweetness of cacao accompanying the punch of coffee on the finish, along with the lingering, peppery trace of spice. The result is a very elegant and well-balanced spiced rum.
3Cents produces artisanal mixers and beverages in London. Started by four Greek bartenders they have created a fine product line. Pairing Black Tears with 3Cents Aegean Tonic compliments the slight bitterness of the mixer with the sweetness from the rum on the palate. The cocoa and slight coffee notes are not lost making for a sophisticated drink. Pour 50ml of Black Tears over ice into a high ball glass and add the Aegean Tonic to taste whilst biting into the luxury chocolate.
