The Real McCoy Rum 5 year old
Barbados is widely considered the cradle of rum making, with the first references to rum production on the island dating as far back as the early 17th Century. The Island is the ideal place for rum production, thanks to its large reserves of pure artesian water, sugar cane fields and tropical climate.
The typical style of the Island is an elegant blend of Pot Still and Traditional Column Molasses Rums, normally aged in Ex Bourbon barrels (as we know you can only use barrels once in Bourbon making, and the USA are relatively close, making this the most effective option).
